To get started with Oempro v4.14.4+ installation, make sure that you have your MySQL server is ready. You will need an empty database and username/password for accessing the database. The MySQL server must have these settings applied:
bind-address = 0.0.0.0 sql_mode = "" max_connections = 1000
We recommend Ubuntu 18.04 LTS Linux distribution for hosting Docker Containers and Oempro installation. You can get a fresh Ubuntu 18.04 LTS server on Amazon AWS, Google Cloud, Digital Ocean, Linode, or on any other hosting company quickly.
Once your Ubuntu 18.04 LTS server is ready, login to your server with SSH and switch to the “root” user.
Upload your Oempro v4.10.0+ zip file to the server and copy it to the /opt/ directory.
Install required packages:
apt install -y software-properties-common sharutils apt-utils iputils-ping telnet git unzip zip openssl vim wget debconf-utils cron supervisor mysql-client docker.io
As described on https://docs.docker.com/compose/install/, install Docker Composer. Download the latest stable version of Docker Composer by running this command:
sudo curl -L "https://github.com/docker/compose/releases/download/1.25.0/docker-compose-$(uname -s)-$(uname -m)" -o /usr/local/bin/docker-compose
Set the package executable:
chmod +x /usr/local/bin/docker-compose
Test the version. It should be 1.24 or higher:
Change directory to “/opt”:
Create a new directory:
Move the zip file to the oempro directory:
mv oemprovXXX.zip oempro/
Unzip the package:
Change file and directory permissions:
chmod -R 0755 install/install.sh chmod -R 0777 data chmod -R 0777 system/storage/ chmod -R 0777 system/bootstrap/cache/
Execute the installer script:
cd install/ ./install.sh
Answer the questions and the installer script will initialize the Oempro environment.
If the MySQL database is on the same server (host) with Docker containers, you can enter
192.168.99.1IP address as the MySQL server host address.
If you are installing Oempro v4.14.3 or newer version, as a final step, just to make sure that the built-in SMTP server reply monitoring feature is working, please edit
/opt/oempro/system/.env file and set these parameters:
Enter the SMTP host, port, username, password, and encryption mode of your primary notification email delivery SMTP server:
MAIL_HOST=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx MAIL_PORT=25 MAIL_USERNAME=null MAIL_PASSWORD=null MAIL_ENCRYPTION=null
Enter the email address you would like to set as sender for outgoing notification emails:
/opt/oempro/system/.env file and set the values for;
And run this command:
docker exec -ti oempro_system php /var/www/html/system/artisan config:clear docker exec -ti oempro_system supervisorctl restart all docker exec -ti oempro_bounce supervisorctl restart all
Installation is completed. Now you can login to the admin area to start setting up your system.
Optionally, you can enable SSL certificate by following instructions here.
